Three case studies, each rooted in a distinct context of active conflict.
Situated knowledge
The research draws on sustained field relationships and semi-structured interviews with local professional artists and change agents. Each case addresses the development of social art projects, risks and challenges, collective composition, community engagement and post-production effects.
Reading across cases
The cross-case discussion examines geography, language, culture and education alongside expressive arts, salutogenesis and conflict transformation. Shared themes are interpreted without assuming that every community or conflict functions in the same way.
