Arts-based community empowerment processes engaged conflict-affected young people and former child soldiers in northern Uganda.

The creative process

The CV records more than 700 young participants. Recurring classes near the Barlonyo massacre site grew through voluntary participation and led to community murals.

This project belongs to a wider practice of community-authored expression. Its relationship to Artegenesis is explored as part of Benjamin’s developing research, without assuming identical effects across communities.
